I became a Professor Emeritus after serving 29 years as a recreational therapy faculty member at Indiana University. I'm a long-time Hoosier, having grown up in Hanover, Indiana. My RT practitioner work was in psych/mental health. After completing my Ph.D. at the University of Illinois, my first faculty position was at the University of North Texas. RT has been a wonderful profession for me as I have had the opportunity to serve as an author and national leader.

Slippery Rock Faculty Position

Slippery Rock University invites applications for a full time, tenure track assistant professor postition in the Department of Parks & Recreation. CARTE/CAAHEP has Accreditated 4 Universities

On April 19, 2010, the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accepted ATRA as a sponsoring member and accepted CARTE as the accreditation mechanism (CAAHEP Council on Accreditation or CoA) for recreational therapy. CARTE Standards and Guidelines for the Accreditation of Recreational Therapy Education, CARTE Policies and Procedures, CARTE By-Laws and supporting material can be found at www.caahep.org/carte.
