I became a Professor Emeritus after serving 29 years as a recreational therapy faculty member at Indiana University. I'm a long-time Hoosier, having grown up in Hanover, Indiana. My RT practitioner work was in psych/mental health. After completing my Ph.D. at the University of Illinois, my first faculty position was at the University of North Texas. RT has been a wonderful profession for me as I have had the opportunity to serve as an author and national leader.

Lecturer Position Open at La Crosse

Steve Lewis from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse, has announced this opening: Position Description The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, Therapeutic Recreation position as a Lecturer in the Department of Recreation Management and Therapeutic Recreation, housed within the College of Science and Health. This position is a two-year, appointment. Applicants need expertise to (a) teach introductory and upper division therapeutic recreation core courses (undergraduate and graduate); and, (b) provide relevant professional and university service. Applicants need the ability to teach elective coursework in one or more TR settings and ability to provide university supervision of therapeutic recreation interns.
