Assistant/Associate Professor @ York College of Pennsylvania
The Department of Behavioral Sciences at York College of Pennsylvania invites applications for a full time tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor to start in August 2012.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching core recreation courses such as an introduction to recreation and leisure and leadership and group dynamics in recreation as well as other courses in his/her specialty area. The course load may include classes from the Therapeutic Recreation and/or the Community Recreation emphasis areas. The candidate will also be responsible for the development and supervision of additional experiential learning and community service opportunities. Additional responsibilities include development of new courses, advising students, engaging in scholarly activity, and providing service to the department, the college, and the York community. An anticipated development of a new department of Hospitality, Recreation and Sport Management may create new teaching opportunities, so related expertise would also be welcome.
QUALIFICATIONS: A Ph.D. in recreation and leisure, therapeutic recreation, community recreation, commercial recreation, outdoor recreation, or other related field is preferred (ABDs may apply with evidence of degree award by August 2012). A record of excellence in teaching and advising, scholarly promise, and a strong commitment to service is expected.

Very positive news for the york college that a new faculty will open there and it will be a chance for some new student to join. on this page that I love for the helpful information and its really amazing.
