I became a Professor Emeritus after serving 29 years as a recreational therapy faculty member at Indiana University. I'm a long-time Hoosier, having grown up in Hanover, Indiana. My RT practitioner work was in psych/mental health. After completing my Ph.D. at the University of Illinois, my first faculty position was at the University of North Texas. RT has been a wonderful profession for me as I have had the opportunity to serve as an author and national leader.

INDIANA UNIVERSITY
DEPARTMENT OF RECREATION, PARK, AND TOURISM STUDIES
Visiting Lecturer, Senior Lecturer or Assistant Professor (fixed term)
Area: Therapeutic Recreation


Position: Visiting Lecturer, Visiting Senior Lecturer, or Visiting Assistant Professor of Therapeutic Recreation. One-year position beginning Fall, 2008.
Position Description: Lecturers may be assigned responsibility for teaching, and for research and service that supports teaching. Teach undergraduate and or graduate courses in Therapeutic Recreation (TR) as well as departmental
core courses. Advise students majoring in TR.

Qualifications: Earned doctorate preferred, will consider a Master’s degree in therapeutic recreation. CTRS required.

Salary: Commensurate with experience.
