I became a Professor Emeritus after serving 29 years as a recreational therapy faculty member at Indiana University. I'm a long-time Hoosier, having grown up in Hanover, Indiana. My RT practitioner work was in psych/mental health. After completing my Ph.D. at the University of Illinois, my first faculty position was at the University of North Texas. RT has been a wonderful profession for me as I have had the opportunity to serve as an author and national leader.

National Veterans Summer Sports Clinic

The National Veterans Summer Sports Clinic gives veterans an opportunity for self development and promotes rehabilitation. This year the Clinic will be held September 20-25 in San Diego, CA.

I attended last years' (2009) summer Olympics in San Antonio,TX whereas the Idaho folks had a free airline ticket & stay the nights at the army base. The San Diego one costs both the air ticket(s) AND the hotel stay for several days. I wonder why this is totally different in terms of costs to disabled veterans - any response(s) from this one from Idaho?
