I became a Professor Emeritus after serving 29 years as a recreational therapy faculty member at Indiana University. I'm a long-time Hoosier, having grown up in Hanover, Indiana. My RT practitioner work was in psych/mental health. After completing my Ph.D. at the University of Illinois, my first faculty position was at the University of North Texas. RT has been a wonderful profession for me as I have had the opportunity to serve as an author and national leader.

Teaching Position at Old Dominion

From Betsy Kennedy via the ATRAnet Listserv: Old Dominion University has a non-tenure track (instructor/lecturer) faculty line in therapeutic recreation open. This is a teaching faculty line, research/publications are not required. Minimal requirements include; CTRS, master’s degree in TR/Recreation or related field with 18 graduate credit hours in TR. ODU is located in Norfolk Virginia. The main campus is 30 minutes from Virginia Beach and the Chesapeake Bay. The closing date is November 1st. Please email me if you have questions.
