I became a Professor Emeritus after serving 29 years as a recreational therapy faculty member at Indiana University. I'm a long-time Hoosier, having grown up in Hanover, Indiana. My RT practitioner work was in psych/mental health. After completing my Ph.D. at the University of Illinois, my first faculty position was at the University of North Texas. RT has been a wonderful profession for me as I have had the opportunity to serve as an author and national leader.

Faculty Position at St. Francis, Joliet, IL

The University of St. Francis has an opening for an Assistant/Associate Professor in Recreation, Sport and Tourism Management. We have a growing concentration in therapeutic recreation and welcome candidates with a TR/RT background. Application review will begin October 30, 2014 and continue until the position is filled. The RSTM department recently moved into a new facility in downtown Joliet (a $3 million dollar building renovation) built to our specifications.
