Faculty Opening at Southern Miss

The University of Southern Mississippi invites applicants for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track faculty position as an Assistant Professor of Recreation in the School of Human Performance and Recreation in the College of Health. Minimum Qualifications: 1.) Earned doctorate (degree awarded by August 2015) in therapeutic recreation or closely related field and certification (or eligibility for certification) as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) (Note: Active NCTRC certification is a condition of employment.) 2.) Demonstrated line of scholarly activity evidenced by submission of peer-reviewed publications, professional presentations and/or grant submissions 3.) Demonstrated ability to engage in effective teaching
