I became a Professor Emeritus after serving 29 years as a recreational therapy faculty member at Indiana University. I'm a long-time Hoosier, having grown up in Hanover, Indiana. My RT practitioner work was in psych/mental health. After completing my Ph.D. at the University of Illinois, my first faculty position was at the University of North Texas. RT has been a wonderful profession for me as I have had the opportunity to serve as an author and national leader.

Faculty Opening at Lehman

Lehman College is very excited to announce an opening for an assistant/associate professor in recreation/therapeutic recreation. Our location is a beautiful, tree-lined, architecturally unique campus in the NW Bronx in New York City. Lehman is a predominantly Hispanic-serving institution with an ethnically and linguistically diverse student population who are motivated and engaged in their education and the profession. The Recreation program has 2 full-time faculty (both CTRS) and 100 undergraduate majors (80 of whom are TR) and 60 graduate students (currently 2/3 are TR) and is housed in the Department of Health Sciences, with a very collegial and supportive faculty. We enjoy a close relationship with the Exercise Science program as well as many agencies and organizations in the NYC region where many of our alumni are employed.
