Location: Indiana, United States

I became a Professor Emeritus after serving 29 years as a recreational therapy faculty member at Indiana University. I'm a long-time Hoosier, having grown up in Hanover, Indiana. My RT practitioner work was in psych/mental health. After completing my Ph.D. at the University of Illinois, my first faculty position was at the University of North Texas. RT has been a wonderful profession for me as I have had the opportunity to serve as an author and national leader.

A Number of Openings at Colleges & Universities

Does it seem to you like their are a great many openings in RT at our colleges and universities? It does to me.

I may miss some, but if I recall correctly, there are faculty openings at BYU-Idaho, Virginia Wesleyan College, Oklahoma State University, Southern Mississippi, Grand Valley State, and recently an opening was announced at Sac State.

In addition, Indiana University has announced an opening for a lecturer. My guess is that the person filling the IU position would be someone working on a Ph.D.
