Devereux Georgia is looking for a Activity Therapy Manager. The senior management team and the medical director at Devereux are top-notch. If you are a Certified Activity Therapy Manager with at least 3 years of management experience and have been responsible for planning and leading therapeutic activities in a behavioral health or hospital setting, this is the job for you. Applicants must have supervision experience. Detailed Summary: The Certified Activity Therapy Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, evaluating and directing the Activity Therapy program for children/adolescents with emotional/behavioral challenges in our residential program. Applicants must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation Therapy, or Art/Music Therapy from an accredited school and certification as required by state regulations from the appropriate professional organization such the National Council of Therapeutic Recreation (NCTRC). Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years management/supervision experience. The Activity Therapy Manager plans and implements individual and group recreation services that support the client’s treatment plan, contributes to the care of the client through the interdisciplinary team, and documents activities for each client. The Activity Therapy Manager provides supervision to other recreational staff and volunteers to achieve delivery of quality recreation services to all in residence.
