I became a Professor Emeritus after serving 29 years as a recreational therapy faculty member at Indiana University. I'm a long-time Hoosier, having grown up in Hanover, Indiana. My RT practitioner work was in psych/mental health. After completing my Ph.D. at the University of Illinois, my first faculty position was at the University of North Texas. RT has been a wonderful profession for me as I have had the opportunity to serve as an author and national leader.

New Edition of Witman & Ligon Book

From Tom Blaschko, President of Idyll Arbor comes this announcement:

New Leisure Education Book
Jeff Witman and Mary Ligon's revised edition of their book on leisure education: Reflection, Recognition, Reaffirmation is now available. It is a practical handbook for implementing leisure education programs with a variety of populations in many different settings. It includes many activities to help clients reinforce the key concepts of reflection on the meaning of leisure, recognition of the role of leisure in their lives, and reaffirmation of their use of leisure resources.

You can read more about it here.

We will be happy to send you a review copy if you think you might want to use the book in one of your classes.
