I became a Professor Emeritus after serving 29 years as a recreational therapy faculty member at Indiana University. I'm a long-time Hoosier, having grown up in Hanover, Indiana. My RT practitioner work was in psych/mental health. After completing my Ph.D. at the University of Illinois, my first faculty position was at the University of North Texas. RT has been a wonderful profession for me as I have had the opportunity to serve as an author and national leader.

Faculty Positions at Brock University

The Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies at Brock University is pleased to invite applications for two (2), 18-month limited term appointments (LTA) at the Assistant Professor level, effective July/August 1, 2016. Qualifications are a completed or near completed Ph.D. in Recreation and Leisure Studies or a related discipline. Normally, 2-4 years of professional practical experience and demonstrated expertise in areas of Therapeutic and/or Community Recreation is required and preference will be given to these candidates. Closing date for the application is June 17, 2016, or until suitable candidates are found.
